Boise Bench Remodel

We gave this character-rich Bench cottage a thoughtful top-to-bottom refresh that honors its early twentieth-century soul while bringing in the comfort and function of a modern home. Arched doorways, leaded-glass windows, a corner china cabinet, and original red oak floors set the tone, while updated millwork, lighting, storage, and finishes make the home feel bright, functional, and ready for modern living. We refinished the original hardwoods throughout, rebuilt the period-style built-ins, and anchored the living room with a new marble fireplace surround. The reimagined kitchen pairs custom shaker cabinetry, honed dark stone counters, and a farmhouse sink with a paneled built-in refrigerator and custom millwork range hood, while the home's original arched window remains the room's natural focal point. The beautifully detailed full bath features a freestanding clawfoot tub, classic black-and-white hex tile, double vanity, and polished fixtures. Period charm intact, daily living thoroughly modernized.
